The DPIA Assistant Tool is a productivity aid. It structures information you provide into the layout of the DPIA template at Annex A of the Data Protection Impact Assessment Guideline (Version 1.0, 30 April 2026) issued by the Personal Data Protection Department, Malaysia. Its output is a draft. It is not a completed Data Protection Impact Assessment and does not evidence compliance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 or with any guideline issued under it.
A Data Protection Impact Assessment under the Guideline requires a Data Protection Officer or DPIA Lead, follows the DEICA methodology, and forms part of a documented compliance programme. Any draft produced by the Tool must be reviewed by a qualified data protection professional and approved by senior management before it is relied on.
